Hi, and welcome back to the Muddy Cross podcast. Slightly different setup today because I just wanted to take some time to talk about our previous series that we've done, the Beyond the What and Into the Why. We ran that for 10 weeks, and in that time, we explored what it means to follow Jesus, not just to believe in him, but also why it really matters in our lives as well. Over the 10 weeks, we we talked over different topics. We talked about our first steps in faith and who Jesus really is, relationship over performance and grace before the change. We talked about prayer, we looked at the Bible as well, which can seem a daunting topic for some people, and then our own identity in Christ. We spoke about living by grace, trusting God in uncertain times, which was a really great episode as well, and then also putting all of that into practice. So when we completed this 10-week series, Judy and I reflected and we realized something. We realize that it's really easy to listen to a podcast, and we quite often do this as well. Um, but we can do that whilst we're driving or whilst we're caught up with other things, and sometimes it might seem good, but we don't actually input it and use it in our daily life. So we wondered, is there a way to help encourage you, those that have listened to the series and that will listen to the series, to encourage you beyond that and help you grow in your faith a little bit more. So as we reflected on this, um we we decided that we would set up uh a free companion study guide. Now it's not um just another Bible study, um, it's just not another thing just to tick off your list, it's a tool to help you go deeper in your own personal faith with God and your own personal walk with God, and each week um as you go through it, it includes scripture and prayer points and questions, um, and it also has a sort of a next practical step for you to take on um to do as well to input into your life because faith isn't just about rushing ahead uh it and getting everything right, it's about walking with Jesus just simply one step at a time. And one of my favorite lines, sort of throughout the whole guide, is that you don't need to have everything figured out to begin with, you just need to have a willing heart to take the next step. Now, I think that this summed up the entire series because if we look at Jesus, he never waited for people to have all the answers before he invited them to join him. You know, he met people exactly where they were, he met them with their doubts, he met them with their questions and their failures and and their lack of hope, and and he still does that today. That's where he meets us individually. So if there's one message that is running through these uh 10 weeks, it's that God isn't asking us to perform, he's inviting us into relationship. He's not waiting for the better version or the best version of you, he's inviting you to walk with him today, just simply how you are, imperfections and all, questions and doubts and all. That's exactly where he wants to meet you.
